Getting something printed urgently in Paris

Independent guide, updated on 2 November 2026. Practices vary from one workshop to another: have your printer confirm the values.

A trade show tomorrow morning, a forgotten poster, a dissertation due tonight: in Paris, many workshops can print within the day, sometimes in an hour. What makes the difference is above all how the file is prepared and choosing a workshop that offers an express service.

1. Arriving with a ready file

This is the first factor in turnaround time. Before calling:

• a PDF in the right format, with bleed if the print runs to the edge;
• images at a sufficient resolution for the print size;
• fonts embedded.

2. Choosing a product that can be made quickly

These turnaround times are indicative: each workshop states its own, to be confirmed by phone.

3. Calling before you go

Specify the product, the quantity, the format, the paper and the time you need it by. Ask:

• the guaranteed pickup time;
• the express supplement, if there is one;
• whether it is better to send the file before coming.

4. Pickup or courier

If you cannot go there, some workshops deliver by courier within Paris, sometimes in an hour. Otherwise, choose a workshop close to a place you pass through: a metro station or a railway station.
