Imprim'Vert certified printers in Paris

What the label guarantees

Imprim'Vert covers the printer's workshop, not the paper or inks used for a particular job. Its national specification has five criteria:

• hazardous waste collected and disposed of at least once a year by approved contractors
• secure storage of hazardous liquids
• products classified as CMR eliminated or replaced wherever technically possible
• staff awareness training (and customer awareness for digital printers)
• quarterly monitoring of energy consumption

The label is awarded for one calendar year and renewed annually; the site is inspected every three years. For paper from sustainably managed forests, look for FSC or PEFC instead. Environmental labels in the printing industry
